Job Description: -
Day to day reporting to the GM of China Supply Chain Operations for Juniper Networks; functionally reporting to the Technical Operations team at Sunnyvale. -
Provide local technical supports as an extension of the test engineering team in USA.-
Be the local technical expert supporting test issues at the original design manufacturer (ODM) or the contract manufacturer (CM) facilities.
Support all manufacturing test issues including ICT, Functional test, system test as well as debug of failed assemblies.
Strong electronics knowledge is a must; some experience with networking equipment is highly desirable.-
Work with the technical team at ODM/CM and the Juniper Technical Operations teams:
o
to understand and resolve issues due to ODM/CM manufacturing processes.
o
to understand issues due to product design or documentation, and to propose potential solutions
to the US based Technical Operations teams.
o
to propose potential changes to Manufacturing Test Instructions, to the US based Technical Operations teams.

Work with the technical team at ODM/CM and the Juniper Quality Engineering team:
o
to understand and resolve issues due to component suppliers and
manufacturing processes.
o
to assist on component evaluation and the qualification of new vendors.
o
to drive the quality focus at ODM/CM via process yield analysis and feedback.

Facilitate the implementation, procurement, fabrication and use of test fixtures and equipment. -
Supervise deployment of manufacturing test processes for products; assist with resolving hardware test issues and escalate to US Technical Operations teams.-
Ensure proper documentation is created, updated and released for all manufacturing process changes via ECO’s, MCO’s or Deviations which are issued by the Technical Operations teams in USA.

Ensure products being built and processes being used at CM are following and adhering to all Juniper requirements

Support debug tools including bench top boundary scan. Requirements: -
BSEE degree or equivalent-
Minimum 7 years experience in supporting manufacturing test processes including ICT, functional tests and system tests.-
Must have strong electronics knowledge; some experience with networking equipment is also highly desirable.-
Must have excellent failure analysis skills.-
Must have excellent Chinese and English communication skills, both verbal and written.-
Proficiency with usage of test and debug equipment including oscilloscopes, various meters and boundary scan tools, component programming equipment, inspection equipment including high magnification cameras-
Well versed with Unix, Windows and Microsoft Office, Adobe usage-
Familiar with Document control and CAD tools for viewing schematics, BOMs, ECOs etc-
Must be able to independently resolve issues in accordance with the processes and guidelines as set up by the US Technical Operations teams. -
Periodic travel to USA will be required.
